Craftsmanship and performance of a budget. The YoggieBear fishing rod is lightweight and compact yet functional. Storage size is 20cm and the composite extends to 1.25m. A lightweight spool mechanism with brake/release is standard. The grip is crafted by our talented artisan from NZ grown Silky Oak showing it's unique grain.

Quality stainless steel guides provide reliable casting performance and effective line management.

Many purchasers have told us they are being gifted to fishermen who no longer get out there or as a starter rod for harbour fishing. Regardless, we think these roads are simply beautiful!

About John

John reclaims and repurposes old timbers to create functional art - combining edgy industrial elements that reflect the past. He has a deep respect for the environment and believes in the importance of preserving natural resources.

John’s current work is created using reclaimed timbers from agricultural or industrial sources, and Wellington’s old wharves – particularly the recently restored Days Bay Wharf.

“ I try to create functional art that is sympathetic with the past, with every bolt, wire, nail hole, and carpenter’s mark reflecting the story of the wood, the job it has done, and those whose skills have crafted, worked and shaped it. “

About Sally

Genuine New Zealand Sea Glass

Sally handmakes everything using sea glass collected locally from the beaches here in Wellington. The glass has been rumbled by the ocean for years giving it the beautiful smooth edges and frosty appearance.

Sally has always collected seaglass and during lockdown, turned her passion for collecting sea glass into creating beautiful jewellery and gifts.

Sally hails from England and moved to Wellington with her Wellington-born husband and daughters in 2015.

Sallys' happy place is the beach, and in any season, you'll find her there at least once a week, come Wellington rain or shine!
